
OUR HISTORY
ARWA Schools, which comprises pre -Nursery, Nursery, Basic and Senior Secondary schools was at inception called ARWA Nursery/Day care centre Abuja. It started on 5th November 1984 at a temporary location in the the North West District of Abuja. The enrolment was 70 children, with 8 members of staff. Mrs. S.E Akpemiya served as pro-tem Head Mistress until 7th January 1985 when Mrs. G.B Emoefe was posted by M.F.C.T as the official Head Mistress of the school.
The school moved to its permanent site at Wuse Zone 4, on 9th January 1995. With the increase in population of children in the later years, 30 classrooms were added to the school. The school name was changed to ARWA Basic Schools in 2006, incorporating Junior secondary students. With the full Basic system from primary to J.S 3, ARWA Basic School excelled very well in Academies, Sports and other extra curricula r activities. The BECE result has remained 100% for years, many of the J.S graduates proceeded to F.C.T schools and across the country.
With the Academic excellence of the learners who normally transit to other schools after completion of J.S.3, parents agitated that S.S was a necessity hence S S took off on 19th September 2016 with 3 learners at 1st day of resumption. The 1st and present principal is Mrs. Elo Charles Ikpa, Vice Principal – Administration is Mr. Andrew Ebute which Miss. P.N Onuoha is Vice Principal Academics. Presently, ARWA Schools comprises of Pre-nursery, Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary.
